As you may be aware The Ellingham Community Trust has recently launched the Solid Fuel Scheme for winter 2023. The application form can be found on the Trust website here as well as, being hand delivered to each eligible household.
Please can we ask that your application is returned by 8th March, as we have to order even earlier this year to ensure delivery prior to the Christmas break.
Thank you in anticipation
Dave Metcalfe
Chair
Ellingham Community Trust
If your primary residence is within the Parish of Ellingham you can apply to Ellingham Community Trust for a voucher for solid Fuel.
If you do not have an open fire or log burner it is still worth taking advantage of this offer. Ellingham Community Trust buys in bulk, the more we can buy, the better value achievable. It is acceptable to sell the fuel (please ask a Trustee for contacts of people who would buy) or to pass on as a gift. Alternatively, you can request to receive a cash sum from the Trust.
Due to supply issues for the 2022 scheme, orders need to be put in early to ensure availability for ordering in November.
To apply, simply complete the application form available at here by 8th March 2023 and either post either email it to johnthompson569@btinternet.com or post to John Thompson, 6, Maxwell Drive, Ellingham, NE67 5EL.
Households submitting after this deadline will only be eligible for the cash payment option.
Sadly, our heat log supplier has had production issues and delays in obtaining spare parts from Germany. This means that we are unable to deliver the heat logs before Xmas. There is a chance that some will be produced but we can’t say how many and when.
We know this is disappointing and there are some options:
1. Change your order from heat logs to hardwood logs – we can get them delivered anytime and so hopefully you could have them within 2 weeks latest.
2. Change your order to the cash payment and try and source your own supply of heat logs/hardwood logs
3. Remain with heat logs but please note we can’t guarantee when we will be able to get them to you, it could be well into January.
Please can you as soon as possible let us know by emailing louis@brockthorpe.co.uk as to what you would like to do.
If you ordered an extra pallet of heat logs, can you inform us if you want to carry on with waiting for them, swap to hard wood or cancel.
Many apologies, but this is out of our hands and very annoying that we’ve been let down at the last minute.
If you have ordered hardwood from the Solid Fuel Scheme this year, this should arrive this week.
Heat Logs will be delivered later in the winter.
Ellingham Village Hall Trust wish to let you know that due to issues beyond their control the planned coffee morning on Saturday 17th September has unfortunately had to be cancelled.
Ellingham Community Trust understand the increased need for additional solid fuel this year. Due to soaring energy costs, we are able to bulk buy at a discount heat logs and logs.
If you would like an additional pallet of either hardwood or heat logs, then please email by Friday 9th September. The cost will be £260 for logs and £235 for heat logs per pallet.
Ellingham Community Trust’s 2022 Solid Fuel Scheme is now closed.
Further updates regarding deliveries and payments will be sent out later in the year.
…until the 2022 Solid Fuel Scheme closes for applications.
If you’ve already completed your form, and received confirmation of receipt by email, thank you. Please check in with neighbours who are permanent residents in the parish to make sure they’ve got their forms in too.
